Introducing Amy Dorian, an artist whose work confronts the tension between structure and chaos, beauty and distortion. Rooted in a punk ethos, her practice explores the aesthetics of rebellion, strength, and vulnerability through a deeply personal visual language.Her pieces often reflect a fascination with the grotesque and the graceful—finding harmony in contradiction. Whether on canvas or unconventional surfaces, Dorian's work is a meditation on discipline, purity, and resilience amid a world that feels increasingly unhinged. Originally trained in design, Amy's transition into fine art was born out of a desire to reject the merely decorative. What emerged is a body of work that is raw, unfiltered, and  original—each piece a confrontation, a reflection, and a reclamation.Amy will be taking part of the group show ‘La Vie En Noir’ at OBEY Art Space Paris curated by 11PM Records, a hardcore punk record label based in Richmond Virginia and Toronto Ontario led by Patrick Walsh. The show will feature two artists Rob Roche and Amy Dorian. Patrick told us “Amy's art is a product evident of her upbringing in the hardcore scene although her evolution of styled iconography and medium forward pieces push the genre forward everyday.
