OBEY x IAB STUDIO lookbook

Friday March 21st, we will be hosting the opening of Playgrounds, a group exhibition curated by Paulo Iverno. This exhibition is an ode to urbanism. Six Parisian artists get inspired from the city and it's playful architectures to create works for this new show. The theme explores a variety of subjects: childhood memories, urban exploration, play and liberty, in a vibrant and colourful aesthetic. Félicie Vitrai blends technology and imagination, using augmented reality, virtual reality, and digital photomontage to create immersive, playful experiences that blur the line between real and make-believe. Her new paintings feature 3D-printed frames.Thami Nabil (aka Recso Verto) is a Paris-based artist working in video animation. His work distorts time and space, layering movement and sound to create hypnotic visual narratives. For this special occasion Recso will be printing on plexi-glass. Mario Picardo draws inspiration from the urban landscape, layering color and form through airbrush techniques. His work often incorporates pop culture and comic book elements, transforming city life into something vibrant and surreal. Emile Degorce Dumas creates sculptures and installations that blend animist traditions with contemporary Western aesthetics. His works have a dreamlike yet unsettling presence, drawing on absurdity and contradiction to evoke both attraction and discomfort.Clara Cimelli creates highly textured, hyper-saturated works on machine paper—somewhere between dream and nightmare. Her compositions carry a raw energy, merging chaotic, almost violent imagery with exaggerated theatricality. James Dosa, a Paris-based painter, draws from video games, manga, and cartoons to explore the idea of a shared visual language.  For our Spring 25 collection, we collaborated with a talented team, including Amsterdam-based photographer Mette Krah.  Driven by a passion for analogue photography, Mette develops and prints her film work in her own darkroom. Her versatility spans from press shoots to documenting punk bands in concert, bringing a refined touch to gritty settings. With a talent for enhancing contrasts and foreground details, this project marked her first editorial for a fashion label.For this campaign Mette chose to place the collection in a metropolitan setting, juxtaposing the delicate textures and tones of the cut-and-sew with a grittier, perhaps cinematic surrounding. She wanted to showcase the brink of Spring underneath a veil of mystique – bolstered by the unconventional forms of the Belgian backdrops.  The talent that Mette shot in Brussels brought their vibrant energy from the music and skate industries. Mauro Ruberto is an avid skater and a close friend of ours. He has an energetic personality with a deep love for nature and music. Zoe Saidah is an Amsterdam-based DJ with London roots. Performing under the alias SAIDAH, she takes inspiration from the birthplace of garage, where high energy and four to the floor beats take center stage. Zoe aims to open up the UK scene to new audiences with a fresh sound and perspective.  Logan Sharma, a treasured member of our team brought the video to life. Logan brings together his dual passions for filming and skating, combining creativity with dynamic energy. Along with managing the OBEY European website, he’s also deeply involved in skating and creating content for Blobstacle, showcasing his commitment to the skate culture and community.   The music was done by Laurou, a Swiss-Finnish sound artist whose intricate sound design creates interpretative, whimsical spaces. Her practice explores the vastness of virtuality, morphing organic sounds into sculpted microtextural worlds.
