SHEPARD FAIREY: OUT OF PRINT

OUT OF PRINT celebrates the rebellious, democratic force of ink and paper, 400+ screen prints and new hybrids honoring the tactile, public power of printing to provoke dialogue, stir thought and spark action.

“Some people say digital media has ended print, but the provocative, tactile experience of a print on a wall or in the wild, can’t be replaced. Printing still matters!” - Shepard Fairey.

Featured on this post, are some of the historic and rare editions that will be available on site. Archival materials, process ephemera, and contextual graphics round out the presentation, offering a behind‐the‐scenes look at the artist’s methods and influences posters, album art, skateboard graphics, and punk flyers among them:

These special mixed media art pieces are a hybrid of stencil painting and screen printing. There are only two variants of each color combination. These pieces are 18x24 on deckled edge cotton rag paper.
